It is proposed that the “Search for 2017 Sinulog Festival Queen and Matron in Australia” be held in next year’s 2017 Sinulog celebration. Crowning of the Festival Queen and Matron will be one of the events in addition to the established annual events to celebrate the feast of Sto. Niño.
It is proposed that there will be four main parts of the competition:
First will be the opening production number;
Second will be the group production – , a 2-minute preview of what the groups will be presenting on Sunday during the Feast of Sto. Niño;
Third will be the solo performance where the lead dancer portrays how one should carry the image of the Senyor Sto. Niño, and the
Fourth , the showdown, where each candidate will dance on stage in batches.
It is envisioned that special and corporate awards will be presented as well.
